Evo ix - rear frame rust assessment

I recently got my car out of heated and temp controlled storage after a few years. While its been started regularly or needs a tune up. Anyhow, I got it on a lift and noticed the read frame.

How ****ed am I?

I feel like I need to get the car raised again and clean the debris to determine the situation, but I'm wondering if that's best left to a professional. I don't know how much damage I can do.

Should I go to a collision repair shop or should any body shop with a reputation be able to handle this?

Find someone who specializes in auto body unibody/chassis rust frame repair if you want the best work. I feel like this should be readily available in Chicago of all US cities.

Looks minor enough to have descaling and spray/paint on treatment.

appreciate the info. I’m actually no longer in Chicago. I moved to Denver. So I’ll have to find someone out here.

if you’re familiar with any shops please share.

on to searching

Probably won't be cheap but it's totally salvable by a professional as already suggested, mine was in a similar situation.

It would have to be most severe. Take a look at the rear sidemember: https://www.4turbo.pl/sidemember-rea...,3,49895,52085
