Evo 8 Idle problem

Hey guys, so I just started having a problem occur with my car that happens randomly. When I try to start my car the dash lights up and everything but then turn the key to start the engine it completely dies, I try again and nothing lights up on dash like the battery is gone. Once I jump start it, it starts perfectly fine. Then after going on a normal drive no wot or anything crazy, I'll stop at a light, and the car likes to drop to around 300 rpms and/or stall out but I can start it right after. It won't die if I stay giving it some gas and keeping the rpms up but this problem only happens when I have to jump start the car. Other times when I go to start it none of that issue happens. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this same issue and what they did to fix it. I have done some reading and have seen people say, vacuum leaks, BISS, IACV, tune, and alternator. I am getting the car etuned tomorrow and also have an IACV on the way. Only thing I changed on the car was the exhaust when this issue started occurring, but I doubt that would have that much of a play on the idle. Thank you for reading.

If your TPS is good check if its calibrated. I had the exact same symptoms and my tps was new so i knew it couldn't be bad but error code P0122 low volts to tps on evoscan. I had to simply adjust the position of the tps abit to output .5v. If you know its something with your tune get that checked but if you suspect mechanical issue check your spark plug condition and go from there. Any recent mods or changes to the car?

check your battery connections these cars are very picky with power- mine was doing a bunch of weird stuff, and it was a loose positive connector. clean it all up and make sure its tight and see if that helps.

Only exhaust but that wouldn’t do that and no low volts

My car was doing weird electrical stuff then BAM, dies on a bridge on frickin' date night! Turns out it's the alternator. Part on order.

Alright so found out it’s because my ecu needs to relearn the fuel map but I rarely see anything about that and if I do someone replies saying it won’t work for evo 8 since it’s not a electric throttle. If someone has the proper way to relearn please let me know. Another problem i’m having is with my tune, tuner sent multiple maps but still not fixing. When trying to full throttle or even half throttle to get into boost, it goes instantly rich, doesn’t accelerate and sounds like bubbles. Don’t know if it’s dumping too much fuel or something is clogged but tuner doesn’t know why either

my first step would be a boost leak test, make sure injectors are clean, connections are good.
but i would lean to a boost leak issue with the "bubbles" comment and running rich
