Would a bad batch of gas would trigger CEL? yesterday filled the Evo and after 20 mins. of driving CEL went on. First I thought it was the gas cover stop and made sure it was tight. Got home reset the computer back to normal. Today CEL on again, any input from U guys before I bring it to the dealer.

You can take it to auto zone or anyone of your friends who happens to have a scanner and pull the code.

If it's emission or gas cap clear it. Don't clear it if it's something serious and bring to dealer.

 

Pull thE code, its likey non-incidental many are .. IE NO PERFORMNCE LOSS. But it'd kep me up at night. so definite check

 

Hmm.. Really really bad gas I suppose COULD cause a CEL to come on.. Its never happened to me, but you won't know for sure until the next refill, or you get the CEL code retrieved..

 

Forgot to mention borrowing to use a scanner at auto zone is free . You dont' have to clear the light but you should check there since it's so fast and you dont' have to trouble yourselt to the dealer if it's something like not tightling your gas cap.

 

Well folks it's official I'm joining the club of PO300, oh well this gives me a reason to get Al's reflash.
