Big brother and the ECU......
I had a "service engine light" come on today so I took the car to the dealer.......what suprised me was they were able to tell me how fast I was going when I threw the CEL. They told me that when the ECU throws the cell that they can tell how fast you were going, how many miles or how long you drove before coming for service; also that when a EVO comes in for this kind of problem or any warranty service that there is a tech line that the dealer has to call / report to. Weird........................

Oh yea.........does anybody know how to reset the CEL without having to disconect the battery. My above problem was because my spark plugs needed to be replaced. Thanks

dealer of course) that has an OBDII scanner; find out what tripped the CEL and you should be able to reset it with the scanner.
