bolsen - nice choice man. By the way what mods did you have to your car? The reason I ask is because a buddy of mine has a jetta too, an 03 I believe, and he got a turbo back, intake and a reflashed ECU. He said that that setup should be able to run in the 13's. I personally didn't believe him. He said he may have had about 240HP. Then he drove in my stock Evo and said my car was way faster than his.
As for 240 whp? No way, not on the stock turbo. At the crank, sure... but on 93 octane 240 is near impossibe. Most people with the mods I listed on 93 octane are praying for 200 whp.

And for the record, I only had probs with the coil packs, which are covered under warranty. Same with window regs, they are covered too
Welcome to the Club!
Congrats! My last daily-driver was a 01' Blue Lagoon Jetta 1.8T GLS with bolt-on's(206 whp) and was a very good car, never any problems.
I sold it to buy a 337 GTi, which the dealer screwed me out of it, only one was sent to the dealer locally for me to purchase.
So I drove my GMC Typhoon for a year in half waiting on the Golf R32 to get it its porky *** over here to NA.
Happen to test drive a 03' EVo one day and that is all she wrote.
Now I own a 03' Weight-Less White Evolution and I drive it everyday like I stole it.

You can find them from 10k to 30k depending on condition, mine was about 17k when I purchased it in 2001 with 76k on the truck and it was already modified. They were only produced in 92'/93' so that is a very short production run.
Check out www.SyTy.net in the For Sale section if interested in picking up a very quick SUV.
Wow, my Jetta looked just like yours!
I had a 2001 black 1.8T Jetta with tons of bolt-ons too!
My mods were:
3" turboback, intake, DV, LSD, chip, race N75, suspension, 17x9 wheels/tires, stg 3 clutch, 6lb flywheel, pullies.....etc
Sold that car about 3 months ago to buy my Blue Evo for $24k on Ebay.
I LOVED my Jetta, but the Evo was a huge step up in performance. I do kinda miss the nice interior, ride and stealth of my Jetta tho.
