Haha, its the unofficial VAG groupie thread =)

I owned two A4's previous to the Evo. I LOVED the Audis, but I was just ready to move on to something bigger and better. I'll come back to them later on when I'm "too old" to be seen daily in an Evo or STi

My stage 3 A4 did pretty well considering it only went to the track 1 time. While nothing special on this board, 104 mph in an A4 is moving right along, especially with nothing but a GT-28R pushing it.

LOL! Well I've still got my two Audi's ... slowly building up a '96 A4 (gonna be the fiancee's ride) and still loving my A8, although it's trans is starting to ill, which gave me just one more reason to get an Evo about a month ago. Hehe, and ever since then the weekly miles I on the A8 have come down into the double digits.

Speaking of Jettas, ironically enough I just smoked two of them earlier today ... they thought they could roll up on the Evo, and I was like ... mmm ... NOT!

I administered a little "on ramp spanking" last week myself.(VR6 I think)

When he caught up he was shaking his head and giving the thumbs up..

I had a 1997 GTi VR6..MAN was that car fun..

Nah, the Disco is the GT-28RS. The GT-28R is rated at 280 crank hp, while the DP at 350. Very similiar cold sides, but the NSF-111 tubine on the potato is insane. That tiny little turbine outflows some old school T4 frame turbines!

not when you take them out to a 3.1liter and drop them in a SLC.... still - none of my 10+ VW/audis can match the Evo for pure grin production factor (not to mention outright speed), not even close. Funny thing is that my VW buddies still think they will spank me at the track LOL! Wonder if I can take the EVO to Dubwar this year??

There is an article in "Road and Track" I think this month that stakes the claim that the R32 is like the "perfect" autocrosser..
(VR6 NOT the Turbo)

Gave the impression it could hang with the Evo..

I haven't joined yet. IRRC, you are the sales manager guy at Reiner (sp?) right?

Hate to say it, but your sales guys BS killed the sale 10 minutes into talking to him. Granted I know how the games work, but I specifically told him I knew what people were getting for the cars, he came no where near the deal I got at Griffen.

DoH! My bad, guess I wasn't reading throughly.

There was a 3.1 VR at one of the dyno days we went to. I think it put down 240 HP or something.

VRs are nice motors, we have a guy in our "club" that has a totally custom built VR Check it out @ http://www.4rcd.com

Nope...Not me. I just joined the Renner Club because it is a quality group of people. No relationship to the sales team there. Just the IT Director who is a quality guy..

Again, I don't know who you spoke with there when you looked at your EVO. I have no relationship with the sales floor. But I am familiar with Griffen and I can tell you..I wouldn't brag about getting my EVO there at any price..PM me and I can tell you more.

Gotcha, they were talking about the club, tho it doesn't seem like much of a club when the sales guys who don't own evos are members Tho, I'm not one to pass judgment, I should stop out at a GTG and say hello

Eh, I'm good friends with the guy the PDI'd my car at griffen. I was a lil sketchy but whatever. Got the deal I wanted, so I'm happy with it. Plus, it's not the yellow one
