Evo8.com installed my cams

The cams are great and the car sounds really mean now... It lopes more than I thought it would. Al, sent me a mail tune to get me by until my custom tune May 22. Not sure I would have been happy with the 272, because the 264s are a little rough. I'm sure they will idle a little better with more tuning. The car really pulls hard now, the cams really make a difference. David, Aaron, and Josh are all great guys to deal with. The shop gives top rate customer service and I would highly reccomend them. Josh took his time doing my car and installed everything according to spec ... ARP bolts ect....

Did you upgrade the fuel pump for the Walbro unit?

Yeah... I did the Walbro .... Thinking about 660cc injectors now.... I swear these 264s lope like some 272s that I've heard...

Have no idea about what power I will be putting down...

My Mods:
Walbro 255
HKS Suction intake
BR MBC
BR 3' Catback
UR Test pipe
264/264 cams
Dynoflash (mail flash for now)

HKS or Jun? I'm thinking about having them install some Jun ones here over the summer.

Mine are HKS... I couldn't imagine having more aggressive cams on this car... It is borderline streetable with 264s... When I mean streetable, driving the car without stalls... Keeping your teeth filings at idle (-: Maybe I'm just getting old

you got the cam gears too right? Advancing idle thru cam advancing really smooths out idle.

My understanding is that you do not need gears with 264s... Wouldn't cleaning up the idle rob power?????

Not really "rob" power, but kinda move the powerband. It may feel like some top end or low end power is being robbed, but you are just shifting it.
