Lancer Evolution Etacs

My friend and I were Installing a Greddy Turbo Timer to his Evoluion and before we've ran everything (gauges, ect) to the fuse box for power. So instead of buying a harness we decided to just hook the power and wire acc to the fuse box like we did before. Well everything worked fine but then 5 minutes later the horn, signal lights, and rear wipper starting going off. So i took out the fuses for those 3 things. Now the alarm, and keyless entry don't work. I took pretty much apart the whole dash and checked every single wire that the Evolution comes with and found no problem. We went to a couple of shops and they said it could be a grounding problem or the ETACS. Well i know its not a grounding problem and Mitsubishi said it was probably the ETACS that we ran too many things to the fuse box and caused a short or something.

My question is that the regular Lancer and the Lancer Evolution use the same ETACS but the difference is that the Evolution's model number on it is MR530918 and the Regular Lancer is MR530917. I was woundering if i could go to a junk yard and pull a ETACS off a regular Lancer (cause it would be almost impossible to find a Lancer Evolution at a junk yard) and put it on my friend's Evolution. I've attached a picture of what his looks like. They both look excactly the same the only thing that changes is that the EVO has a 18 at the end and the Lancer has a 17. If someone could please please tell me if it'll work or if theres somewhere online where they sell ETACS for the Evo. Thanks.

next time get a harness.... Still shouldn't have shorted out, I itnhk you may have grouded a lead wire and popped it. That box looks pretty self explanitory... Just match up the functions and voltages to the other one if all checks out then it should be interchangable.... Check the pin outs as well

Looks like the rear wiper will not work if you use an ETACS from a regular Lancer. Not sure of any other problems you may have.

Look at the picture YOU posted.... one of the items listed is the rear wiper. Only the EVO has a rear wiper so the ETACS from a base or OZ lancer will not have the setup for the wiper. Not sure what else may be different....

in addition to the fuses you should check for blown relays.
