beeping from fuse box area! help!
beeping from fuse box area! help!
Ok installed a apexi turbo timer yesterday in my 04 evo rs. Disconnected the positive battery cable, plugged in the apexi jumper harness into the ignition, connected the ground the the chassis since I wasn't using the o2 sensing option and connected the ebrake wire to the apexi unit. Now everytime I turn the key to the acc position, the car beep 5 times. Seems to be coming from the drivers side fuse biox area. Car starts and runs just fine, no problems with lights or wipers or gauges, just the beeping. And after about two minutes, it beeps 5 times again over and over. Completely removed the turbo timer and wiring and it still does it. Right now have both battery cables off and hoping it will reset itself, whatever it is has anyone else had this problem? Read the etacs could have some thing to do with it but when there's a problem with that, it seems like its a lot more majot like the car won't start or lights don't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Follow up in case anyone runs into this problem. While picking all all the wire and connectors and noticed under my drivers seat that the connector under the seat for the air bag was disconnected. Connected it and thaqts where the beeping came from. If I had the ecu reset with the mut from the dealer, wasa told that would have fixed it but can't stand the beeping so just disconnected the connector again. Hope this helps anyonre who runs into this problem.
