Exactly. Stuff like this burns me up inside, but time does make it better. On the insurance note, there's an "allowance" an insurance company can pay for damages without affecting your premiums. The PDR and painting should be well under that "allowance".

Be glad it happened all on the same day. I had my car vandalized on 4 seperate occasions. Insurance company therefore wanted me to pay 4 seperate deductibles, which far exceeded the cost of repair...

Needless to say, I have an Eclipse outside with dings in both doors, both quarter panels, and every body panel but the hatch and roof was keyed or used as a parking guide. Some of the key gouges measure 9 feet in length.

The way I originally kept that car was the most thorough Zaino'ing conceivable. The car ALWAYS looked wet. Now I just keep it covered in pollen and let it get dirty, because it hides the massive white streaks, and spots of exposed primer on the black paint.

If that happens to the MR, I'll gouge out the eyes and/or rip out the jaw of the perpetrator. Fortunately, I don't work at that place anymore, and deal with a higher class of people (mostly), so it should be a non-issue.

 

Sorry I'm kinda late but I read the thread and couldn't agree more. I was just b****ing about this yesterday. Evil VIII you said exactly what I experienced just the other day, and I'm destined to find out why.

I park really far away
Girlfriend complains
I will be surrounded by 20 empty spaces
When I get back there will be two other vehicles parked on either side of me. WTF, all the other spaces will be empty.

Is it intentional?
Is it coincidence?
Girlfriend says they admire the car...
hey I've seen allot of nice cars in parking lots, but I don't go out of my way to park next to them because I'm attracted to the car. Sorry just can't see it.
