Horrible Mitsubishi Dealers refusing warranty work

okay.
so we have tons of people reporting bad service from dealerships.(voiding warranty/denying, etc etc) so this thread is for everyone to post which dealers to stay away from. don't list a dealer that denied you work for something that YOU caused (like tranny work when you did 5k rpm clutch drops)... i started a thread like this on e46fanatics when i had a bimmer, and hope fully it works here. i hope everyone does what they can to avoid the delaers listed here in this thread

well this doesn't regard warranty issues, but this dealer tried scamming me:

46 MITSUBISHI
440 ROUTE 46 EAST
TOTOWA, NJ 07512
(973) 256-1200
-- I called and asked if they had any NEW '03 blue by you or rally red EVOs. They told me I was in luck that they had an '04 in the showroom. So I drove a long distance and met up with the salesman and he showed me a USED '03 claiming it was an '04 EVO with 3,000 miles. I didn't believe him because
(1) this evo had the low wing with a sunroof - isn't the low wing not available in the 04's and the sunroof can only be added with the sun and sound + leather package? and,
(2) this was in March! - how can an '04 model in March have mileage on it already? Or how did an '04 arrive so early?

Sorry just had to vent. That salesman really pissed me off. He kept haggling me to leave a deposit or a phone number when I tried leaving. I clearly said I was not interested in that vehicle. I asked him for the VIN so I can run it and he just froze.

Always look at the VIN

Little known fact: the 10th letter of the VIN is the model year. Also, the dates should be printed on the sticker inside the drivers dorm frame. My RS, which is the the oldest RS i've seen, was made in march '04.

i think AC is a must have just in case....

anyway...keep posting people! we need to warn each other about crappy dealers and hopefully if the corporate mitsu punks really do troll these forums they will start to get the hint about their crappy service.

heres one :

Stevens Creek Mitsu. santa clara, CA
never went there, but know people who have and have had them try to rip them off.

i go to capitol in san jose, CA. never had a problem with anything there

We had a thread like this last year when the Evos were first coming out. It was quite helpful and we even garnered some magazine coverage because of it.

I would suggest that you make the title of this thread a little more specific if you want this thread to be as successful as the last.

This would be more effective in regional forums.
