I say spend the money now and you will be happy later. this is an evo not a civic. I had a cheap exhaust and sold it to get the better one . look at the Vishnu perrin and the B& B exhaust. their are more but again you will get what you pay for

...I have not seen the long term durability on the Megan Racing, but quality seems to be up there, and it's absolutely the best buy right now (the afore mentioned not withstanding). Best I've seen is Ebay stores for $505 shipped for the full turbo back. HKS or the like would be a waste of money for three letters and bad customer service. Buschur would be the next in the best buy line for sure.

So you are saying Megan Racing is a cheap exhaust as in cheap quality? Cause everyone who has one is happy with its quality and fit and price. I would never buy stuff for the name brand jsut cause everyone else uses it. From what i hear Megan Racing is a good company with great customer service. HKS you pay a butt load for their stuff and the customer service is horrible. Plus the HKS and Megan Racing Exhaust pretty much will do the same thing and are made of the same material. SO why pay hundreds more when you will get same results?

I thought the Helix system you can get from Gruppe-S seemed like a hell of a deal.

Waah?!?

Do you seriously have an EVO and are asking for the cheapest exhaust? And before anyone jumps on me and says "paying for the EVO itself reduces your funds".... it fits into my point. If you only have a few hundred... then pay off more of your EVO and wait. Don't get something that you will just want to replace later. And if your EVO is already paid for... then paying for a top notch exhaust should be feasible.

There's my two cents.

Peace

Go with Megan Racing man. These guys are the ones with the money to buy the Expensive NAME. Megan Racing will be just as good as a HKS exhaust. But Wizeguy9999 does have a point about paying your car before mods. i paid my car cash money on the day i bought it, just cause i had a Integra Type R for trade in.

just because someone owns an evo doesn't mean they shouldn't be looking for the best deal out there.

at the same time, if i personally were looking for an exhuast, i would go with something like an avo, which is NOT cheap.

You can get the 5Zigen Miracle exhaust for $399 at Vivid Racing. 5Zigen is a good japanese company, but for some reason the Evo exhaust did not sell very well. It used to be $600 or something like that when it was first released. I think that is the best buy on a catback exhaust right now.
