lightspeed,

keep your paint color then. Different colors doesn't always mean bright colors. You can be different without being tacky, right?

I think it's cool that Mitsu only offers a few paint colors, but i'd like to see a few more, especially since almost every Evo i see is either BBY or black.

The only color I would change it to is that IS300 Grey. I would love to have that color.

Or how about that orangeish-red paint on the IS300? Or that might have been custom. It was like the paint that them british TVRs have. That would look incredible.

I want to paint mine a bluish-silver pearl - kinda dark like Ferrari silver. There is a lot of blue in there...

I don't think so. Most people buy EVOs for their performance. And most owner's money go towards performance mods. Look at the 1g and 2g turbo DSMs. The number of riced out vs. performance modded out cars are few and far between. The EVOs already have a similar ratio. There will be a few riced out EVOs popping up here and there, but not too many.

If I were to paint my EVO, I'd paint it black again, except I'll use much better quality paint that doesn't have the blue sparkles in it. I'll go for a bling bling black color.

While it wouldn't really be possible, I think it would be cool to have a stainless steel EVO, like a DeLorean...

I've also heard talk of "matte" finishes on cars, which is basically a "non-glossy" paint job from what I understand. Anyone have any pics of this? It would be nice to not ever have to worry about waxing anymore...

Prodrive had a "matte silver" on their SEMA cars this year...

Satin Titanium Paint: One of the technologies creating a buzz around SEMA was Prodrive’s Satin Titanium matte finish paint. All four of the cars Prodrive displayed at SEMA 2003, the CR-1, CR-4, FX-R, and Prodrive STi, sported the Satin Titanium matte finish and received rave reviews from show-goers. Prodrive’s introduction of the matte finish paint has created a trend in the automotive aftermarket with numerous aftermarket enthusiasts and companies calling Prodrive USA for the secret recipe. Prodrive intends to make the Satin Titanium paint displayed at SEMA available for sale before the end of the year. While our competition races to follow in our footsteps, you can be sure Prodrive will forge ahead with more cutting edge advances for next year.

Isn't that one of the new MR colors that is coming over here?

If so, maybe that would make it easier to obtain (the color, that is)?
