Since it doesn't say where you live please post it. Thanks.

Unfortunately I don't know what could be your problem but some more detail would be nice, like are you able to start your car? There is a fuse box in the cabin as well, it's located under the steering wheel on the left side. You take out the coin-box and it's behind it.
To ge the fuse out you can use a supplied tool on the back of the coin-box.
But the odometer should keep the mileage no matter what so there might be something else wrong if they litteraly ripped it out. There is a few harnesses behind the steering wheel and they split towards the radio and cigarette lighter area. Are they all OK or are the cut-off?

Damn...that shizzle pisses me off!

Where do you live? Was the car parked outside? Were you at home or out somewhere?

Check all the power wires. The ones for your gauges, the ones for the stereo, etc.. It sounds like something stripped a power wire and is shorting out the electrical system. Check every efected power wire for a spot that might be touching metal.

Good luck!

Dang man. That also really pisses me off. All the above advice is good. This makes me want to get a security system even more. Even though I don't have a Evo, its always better to be safe than sorry. Will your insurance cover anything? Also want to know where you are located at.

Another reason why I dont park and leave my Evo in the street the whole time. So sorry to hear what happened to your car, bro. Just make sure to make a list of how much damage and if you have receipts of the mods so the insurance will cover them. Good luck.

Dude that really sucks ! I know that on my car if I need to disconnect the negative batery terminal to work on the car, the trip meter will reset to zero but the odometer still reads correctly. Kinda weird . . .

well, if your odometer has been reset you have a bigger insurance claim on your hands. your car value is about poop now.

I'd have to say perhaps all problems relate to a theft detterent device, but I wouldn't know for sure. Have you talked to dealer about theft devices? Otherwise, I would go with the idea of an electrical short where they ripped out your stuff. Sorry man

yeh, you always have to get the professional theives. They rob the car so clean, then if they're really good, they'll leave you a note with a chocalate mint and a car freshner.

Indeed.
