If you race, you should change your oil before and after every race. For the street, you should change it every 3,000 miles/3-months, whichever comes first.

Synthetic oil can go up to 5,000 miles, or even 10,000 miles if you want to push it, but not a safe bet if you care about your car.

This warranty is modified for the EVO. 3 year 36000 mile powertrain on the EVO, everything else is 10/100000. Just bought one Wednesday, believe it.

Right!

It is my belief that an extended warranty from Mitsubishi isn't worth the paper it is written on. If they are denying coverage on the 3/36k warranty, why would anyone be so stupid as to think that adding a few years and miles to the warranty will make everything better?

When will Mitsubishi learn that it is not the warranty that is the problem here. It is not the quality of the car (in general) that is the problem. It is the dealership/corporate networks penchant for voiding/not honoring the existing warranty that IS the problem.

They need to change the decision making process with regards to how they decide whather a vehicle deserves warranty covered repairs. They need to make this decision making process more transparent, consistent and fair. If they did this, we (the customers) would know more clearly if an issue with our car can be covered under the warranty. We would know when our personal behaviors jeopardize aspects of our cars warranty. We will know when the modification of our car crosses us into the 'no warranty' area.

SC~

OK guys, I want to get to the bottom of this, but I'm not sure if it is a repost. Sounds to me like a few people have had their warranty voided, and not a lot. Please post if you have had your warranty voided in the new thread "Voided Warranties Post Here" that I will start. We'll see how bad this problem is by the numbers.

Not everyone is willing to say it on an open forum. Most people don't want Mitsu being able to positively id them and associate that with what they may have said on this forum.

And there are likely a lot of others on this forum who have warranty holds in place, and they just don't know it yet....because they haven't gone in for repairs.

True....hopefully it will get a sticky, just so there is SOME record instead of wild speculation, you know? actual numbers VS general perception that MHI is jacked up. I don't think MMC can positively ID me, I changed all my personal information on this BB for that reason. Note my location.....
