Man that sucks,i bet you wished you left the car stock or did light mods to it.The bad thing about this is you have to put your trust into a shop that is taking on new customers with out fixing your car first,After all you spent alot of cash with them, this is the service that you get.Pruven gets the big thumbs downAnd al the next time you wipe your car down please make sure your *** crack isnt hanging out Thanks tony

 

Hey ezpass I think you got the wrong Idea he got the car tune at turbotrix THEN the car BLEW UP he then took it to pruven to have it rebuilt and the reason its been there for along time is first he told them he had bent valves(which he did) but later found out he burnt up the pistons thats why it took so long

 

I for me I, happy with the service at pruven's there the ONLY one's allowed to touch my car

He said make sure that they dont build you a ****ty motor like they did me,the car was at pruven for 2 1/2 month and last me 1 week.What does this sound like to you???.

 

I not going to pretend that I know ALL the details but in my opinion where ever you get the motor built is where you should have it tune

weather the bulit was bad OR weather the tune was bad I've dealt with pruven for a while ans I like there work I've been happy with it be for so..... its only natural for me to go back
I've heard(key word heard not trying to knock anyone) that turbotrix has had a bunch of motors blow -up do to there tune (heard there good tuner's but tune TO aggresively)
and since I am stickin with pruven if any thing happen it will be there fault cause I dont go anywhere else

Ok lets see do the math,Nobody perfect so you heard that a couple motors blew up because of turbotrix,They have done over 10,000 cars since they have been in business, so the couple that you heard of is 1 percent and like i said nobodys perfect.Unless you know a shop that hasnt had any problems.Hey you might find one in neverland,just my 2cents

 

No I agree with you noone is perfect but...... I have yet to hear of anyone after a tune at pruven have a blowin motor (key word tune)

I've prob tuned over 200 ems cars.. All of them the same way. If someone gets a car tuned and takes it into their own hands to alter maps,change gas or alter the version without knowing what they are doing.. then has a problem with the motor everyone assumes it would be my fault. If someone comes in and says they run a race gas / pump gas mix and road race the car, then goes and runs pump and stock plugs with a heat range way to hot to road race and hurts the motor . These are stories you hear but who's fault is it. People want max power out of their car and assume that a stand alone system is like a stock ecu. It is far from it. You would be shocked to find out which vendor on this board wanted me to tune their car. I like dan and pruven , great bunch of guys. If your treated right by them then continue to use them. As dan would agree you can never please everyone in this business and you will always at some point in time get an unhappy customer. Its bound to happen. The internet is the best and worst thing for people like dan and myself. Unfortunelty it only takes one person to say something that might not necessarily be the truth but for someone like yourself reading it and think its gosible .... Pruven and turbotrix havent gotten to where we are today with all unhappy customers.. MY .02 cents ..

listen Mark I meant NO disrepect to you or the way you(turbo trix's) tunes cars I saying the way the car was tuned is why the motor blew if it was for race gas and he put 93 in it then its HIS fault not your but......... I am telling people what I have heard from your customers about you and what I know about pruven again as I said I DONT know all the details which was showin right now with you saying the car was tuned for race gas NOT for 93

 

you know what when Dan (pruven) builds my motor I will be the first to let EVERYONE know what I think about it and if the motor blows because of them then guess what I f'ed up and I will say I'm sorry for thinking to highly of what I think is good I will let everyone also know I know only what I read on the web thats why I like evolutionm.net because everyone has more input about the way the should be tuned
some people like the UTEC
some people like a reflash
some people like the AEM
I like HKS
I ve heard horror stories about everyone but...... AL (from pruven) now weather or not I have not been looking in the right places AL has done a great job for himself by making a name
I also heard turbotrix is has the greatest mechanic but... I also heard they tune agressively but in turn get great numbers
so again what I've been saying all along is I'm very happy at pruven and will contiue to be a faithful customer
but from all the stories I've heard is the shop you start at you finsh at for one good reason
if you get ALL your work done at one shop then there the one's responible for everything unless its the owner fault like when tuned for race gas and you put in 93
again this is my own opinion and is not meant to disrepect anyone including mark(turbotrix)
