Luckily the damage wasn't bad and I was able to fix it myself.

Hopefully all will work out for you.

The tree had been dead for some time now which makes it his responsibility. The insurance agent tried to tell us that since we never told the guy to cut it down it isn't his fault, but after talking to someone higher up, they'll be sending their adjuster to the body shop to check out our cars. We live in a heavily wooded area where all the trees are upwards of 100 ft tall. We just spent a lot of money taking down a tree that was dead so something like this wouldn't happen. Never would have thought it'd be a tree from across the street.

About the cf trunk, I'd like to get one, I just don't know how it would look with an otherwise stock exterior, especially on silver. I'll just have to wait and see how big the check is I guess.

Just be smart and replace the truck with an OEM piece.

The VIS carbon fiber trunks fit very well. They are around $600 or so.

Ah yes, gotta love the "act of God" clause for the insurance company. I also have to keep my car outside since my family only has a 2 car garage. (and why my mothers '97 M3 takes precedence over my car is beyond me) So I park my car on my street, far away from the massive willow tree that will one day fall and break my house in two.

i say we cut down all trees so this'll never happen to anyone again - and it'd mean more room for driving!

j/k, of course

Be glad the EVO wasn't where the minivan was.

I'ld go CF trunk. You might be able to get a trunk and hood for what the OEM stuff costs. As for what it would look like.....the wing is CF???? It would kinda look like the wing....
