Removing headliner (already searched)
Removing headliner (new pics & weight added)
I wasn't quite sure where to put this question, so please feel free to move this if needed. And I have already done a search on this topic, but came up empty.
I'm trying to remove the headliner from my RS, and thus far, I have managed to take off all 3 handles, the dome light, the 3 button clips above the rear seat, and the visor. But I can't figure out a couple of things.
1. The visor clip (the little plastic piece where you clip back your visor) -- can't seem to get it off.
2. Lifting from pillars -- how do I go about getting the headliner out of the 3 pillars?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well there is a clip behind each pillar 6 total they are white in color. once those come off i think you should be good. I dunno never done it. But i want to, and was looking at a parts manual and saw those clips if you get it out lemme know how you did it
I don't think the clips have anything to do with the headliner, I think they're to hold the pillar in place -- in theory, the headliner should just slide out without having to take out the pillars, but I could be wrong.

It's really not that much weight, but every little bit helps, especially weight further from the center of gravity.
Also, you'll be surprised how quickly the weight for all the handles, screws, visors add up.

yeah, I don't even put anything in the backseat anymore at night. I got tired of aimlessly reaching for CD's back there with no light. Sounds lame to ***** about, but it would be a simple thing to have, but makes a difference
man, i was thinking about doing this as well. post up pics when you're done!!
also, how easy is it to strip the trunk without ****ign up the clips and stuff?
and does anyone know if the sound deadening under the carpet is easy to take off?
