Muffler change only?

I've noticed the stock exhaust on my RS is pretty decent size. Just thinking of swapping out the muffler w/ Magnaflow straight thru canister and maybe updating the downpipe w/ aftermarket down the road.

Anyone done just the muffer change?

thx

I had a BR muffler delete pipe for a while and loved it. Nice sound, not loud at all, very nice rumble. Don't even bother with a muffler; it's not worth it on the stock sys. If you're gonna take it off just use a muffler delete pipe and call it a day. You can find them used for under $100 on this site.

I have a Buschur AB.

I actually ordered the muffler delete and they sent me the AB by mistake...

Anyway, the stock muffler is quite restrictive, and the straight through muffler did make a noticeable "sotp" difference...

I have since added a 3" Helix DP and 3" RT cat, and I will replace the AB, but it does add perf without too much noise or cost. However, I would go full 3" if you can.

One thing that I've seen is the Pruven Performance axel-back.. Basically it's a straight thru replacement for the stock muffler.. It looks really good on the car and supposedly helps too! Really nice canister... My .02

Try getting stealthworks rear muffler, uses the same stock evo rear muffler, but internals were modified. $199 with core charge(your stock muffler) worksrally.com

The Buschur muffler delete is just a 2.5" straight pipe and a 3.5" tip. That **** is mad loud

If you want to get a downpipe later on, the Buschur may not fit an aftermarket pipe unless it bolts up just like a stock pipe.

The stock muffler is a heavy piece of ****, about 19.5 pounds. The delete pipe only weighs 3.5 pounds.
