Buy an aftermarket sound system, brushed aluminum dash kit, some sick performance mods, and start road racing. You're outlook will change when you spank an M-3 on the track. Like the other guy said, It will be like a whole new car.

ya know.. my true passion for a car like the evo/wrx/sti was when i drove my friends stock wrx.. when i was in the market to buy a car the Evo was what i wanted... sti was a good bit more, and then the wrx was enough but i'd have money to do some quick mods to it.. but i decided to get the evo.... personally i know what you are saying.. but if you try to do some bolt on mods... TBE.. get a reflash of some sort.. you will feel an entirely new car... if you are unsatisfied with the car go get a different car... i feel though personally you aren't gonna find a better car for that money.... idk what car that is under 32000 that can compete with an evo... So instead of bashing the car you should look at the alternatives that can make your car what you want it to be... the evo is a tuning wonder....

oh and by the way...my cousin took his 03 M3 to the track last night with me and after 8 runs and 3 drivers the best time we could turn out of it was a 14.6 @ 95. we could not get that car to launch or go.
fit and finish...the M3 is beautiful...but it's not fast

Think about it, what other car out there you can buy for $30,000 and it's all wheel drive, 4 doors and bang for the buck? Evo, Sti, or used Audi S-4
Know what you want in a car first and then buy the right one.
M-3s are nice and fast but it's not in the same class category. Hopeless in the snow or rain, not 4 doors for friends and family, parts and services are expensive. If you want to spend double of what an Evo. costs then go right ahead and go for the M-3.
