Urgent help needed with Autometer boost gauge install!!!

AFter installing my Fuel Pump, Re-flashed ECU, Buschur 3" Turbo back, and HKS RS Intake, I am preparing to install my Craig Hardy 3 gauge cluster today.

Although I am somewhat concerned about the install of the Boost gauge. The gauge itself comes with a very small nylon tubing, and no Tee or adapters to tap into a vacuum line in the engine bay. Can I just go to Home Depot or something to purchase the neccessary fittings/line/Tee? I would really like to get the boost gauge at least hooked up today, since all of these mods are done, and I have no way to meter engine pressure at this point.

I am begging for some help from anyone that has hooked up an Autometer boost gauge!

I have found from searching that I will need a 1/8" female thread adapter to useon the rear of the gauge to adapt a normal sized vacuum line. Where do they sell these?

Also, what size Vacuum line does the FPR hosing use?

Thanks fellas!

Free Photoshopped sig for anyone who can help!

The vacuum hose on the car is 3 mm, so you will want T adapters that fit 3mm plus you should probably buy some extra 3mm tube at the store too. Any autoparts store should have this stuff.

Did you buy this gauge used? The autometer gauge should come with everything you would need. If you bought this 'new', you should see about returning it for a new package. It sounds like they just put new shrink wrap over a returned gauge.

You might be able to find a 1/8 NPT to 3 mm barb as well for the gauge side.

i just used the little clear tubing that came with mine.. Seems to be working fine. Just go to an autoparts store like pepboys or autozone or something. You should get what ya need.

you can rig anyting up really just using a T. I just used a normal plastic T with just regular vacuum hose on the end of it and slid the nylon tubing into those and clamped off the connections. Works perfect.

Can the supplied tubing attach to the backside of the gauge?

I bought the 3303 AUtometer SPort Comp gauge brand new, and as far as I am concerned, the install kit blows.

Yes. It comes with adapters so the tubing supplied can fit into the rear of the gauge. ALthough the instructions call for a 1/8" connector to connect to the Tee of the vacuum hose, which is wonderfully NOT supplied.

i guess it would be a 3mm hose...im unsure of size...Just looked like standard vacuum black hose to me...The smaller nylone clear one slid right into it fine and it clamped it off to make a tight leak free seal.

actually i just used what my buddy had laying in his garage. He just handed it to me and it worked fine. Yeah just look like stock size vac hose. Used it only to join the clear hose to the T fitting.

Just pull the tube off of whatever place you plan on plumbing it into, and see if your nylon tube will fit inside it, then measure the ID. Replace the hose, then go to the auto parts store and buy the same thing.
