nose mask fit question?

I bought a nose mask from Colgan Custom and they make the mask for Mitsu.
When I went to install the lower part you have to force a pocket over the corner of the fender just above the headlight. this appears to stress the rubber gasket that is on top of the headlight. (between the headlight and fender) I did not install the lower part I simply do not want to force anything over that corner.

When I looked at my receipt I noticed That Colgan Custom has a very hostile return policy.

Ruturns: Positively no goods will be accepted for credit unless our permission to return such goods is first secured in writing.

I should have used my visa. I have called them three times and they will not call back. or they tell me that someone else will call back and never do.

I hate learning lessons this way. thieves/crooks/greedy people everywhere!

I have the bra that you get from the dealer. Same problem. What I do is move the edge of the bra back and forth lightly, like flossing your teeth. It should make getting the bra over that corner / rubber gasket easier.

does the rubber gasket go back to its normal position after you remove the bra?
will it stay jammed under the fender?

Thanks.

I have the same bra for my Evo, experienced no problems whatsoever slipping that triangular pocket over the fender corner. And, just to make sure I wasn't crazy, I walked outside and looked at that area where the black gasket meets the fender. I've had the bra on & off the car 2 times and the gasket looks totally unmolested. Colgan Custom sells the best car bras - YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. Just be sure you get it plenty warm by laying it out in sun before putting it on 'cause it's a super tight fit.

I used a bra two times on my evo. Wasn't bought from there, but from my experience, the first time you put the bra on, it's rather tight and difficult. After the first time, it becomes a cinch.

Thanks for the info, I was just upset because they will not phone back. I have not even installed the lower part of the mask and will sell it to somebody if they want it. I do not want to have anything to do with a company that does not provide service after you buy from them.

Absolutely......at least mine has gone back to its normal position when I take the mask off. (20,000 miles and counting)
