I stopped at the grocery store this morning to browse the auto mags and there was Import Racer with the words at the top "Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII"

There's a 2 1/2 page article in there with a test drive of an EVO 7. But they go to say the U.S. gets the EVO 7 with revised front and rear for under 30K. 260 HP, 5 speed and 4,000 to 6,000 being produced.

They also said this car in the hands of a Fast and the Furious kid could be a serious problem and get them into a lot of trouble fast

Just F.Y.I., it's just a mag, they aren't Mitsubishi!

Saw it too. I'm still extremely skeptical. Most signs point to VIII and misinformed magazines.

 

Yeah Hobie, I read that article too, and I agree most signs point to VIII.

 

I bought that issue at the local barnes & noble.... I have to say that with the flurry of import car mags coming out - Import Racer is the poorest one I have read. After reviewing that mag, I have very little faith in anything stated in the article....

Sounds like the kind of rumours we were getting 12 months ago if you ask me.

 

Mitsubishi has stopped production on the seven. You can no longer order the car. The implication being that the eight is soon to be with us.
