Can anyone answer this question for me!!

Hey guys i need to ask you a question. Me and my buddy are having a huge dibate weather his car is messed up because of the clutch or the turbo or of its something else. When he try's to go fast the car's rpm's jumps from 3000 to 4000. What do you think it could be?

That seems like it. The car also doesnt have power when it does that, it like lags in power as it tries. Like you see the rpms trying but the car aint moving much.

Exactly..... fly wheel spins but clutch doesnt grab...hence no power to the wheels.....

My piece of crap 1987 Fiero GT did exactly that when the clutch was going. I'm embaraased to admit its rotting in my driveway.

The turbo doesnt get a chance to get load on it if your not catching the road. It's almost like revving the motor in neutral. So reading the boost gauge won't help.
You should also over rev or not feel a "grab" during shifts.

stronger clutch needed looks like as soon as the turbo kicks on its more than the clutch can take so it makes sence it happens around 3000 rpm time for a new clutch my friend.

yea thanks guys, we settled the dispute, i already have a thread that asks about what clutch i should get. It's a real pain with this evo, the car just doesnt pull the same as it use to i feel like i can only run like 15's. It's sad really, ive had plenty of cars keep up with me. Well thanks a lot guys i appreacited it. At least i know for certain that it is the clutch. thanks again
