The main reason I want an Evo8 over an FC TII or FD is the fact that you can mod an Evo8 to run low 11's and still drive it everyday (am I right, wrong/partially right, wrong?)

Do you want to run low 11s on pump or race gas?

i see a lot of replies from people in central/south cali about driving in the snow. i love it. and as far as principle of whatever's comments, it's not just that you drive a "muscle car" it's that you drive a "muscle car" in cali. your experience in driving AWD cars in snow is probably invaluable here.

yeah its a lame question given the winter reference but I live in socal

To answer the question, 500whp works the same for me in the winter as the summer

Guess the haters are up tonight...

Maybe the originator of this thread should specify whether this is about driving in the winter in itself or if this thread is about driving in the snow.

He lives in Chicago. I think that it's safe to assume he's talking about driving in snow. If you put a good set of snow tires on it and don't get aggressive with the throttle it will work fine in the snow.

But, I have driven AWD cars before. From my friends STi and to my other friends 93 VR4. No, I haven't driven those cars in the snow. By the way, what with the quotes around muscle car? My car is a muscle car. It has a Camaro style LS6 with a 395 stroker kit from Lunati, 6spd manual conversion, Ford 9" 3:73 with a Detroit Locker, 2 chamber Flowmasters with 3" piping, and lots of others I'll name some other time.
