Well I noticed today that some asshat had jammed a screwdriver into the trunk lock of my EVO. I assume this was an attempt to steal my trunk lid and wing.

The last time I used my trunk was Monday evening so I know it was sometime in the past few days. I am really pissed!

Does anyone have the part number for a replacement trunk lock? Will I have to take it to a dealer to get keyed or can any locksmith do this?

And here I thought living in the "good" part of town in a nice apartment complex would save me from this crap.... I am outta here in a month and then my car will behind a locked fence at my new house... I hope I can avoid any more damage until then... *sigh*

You can go with a wingless VIS carbon fibre trunk lid. It has no key opening. Pop it from inside only.

Or you can disconnect the pop rod from the key cylinder. No more key operation

I think if you buy a new lock cylinder, they should give you a new key with it. These damn keys with the immoboliser are freaking expensive...
