My First 9sec pass on page 9
Well I have a 2005 Evo8 and this will be my 3rd year with the car coming up. The car has been a Autox car for the last two years and I want to try something new. I have been going to JS Dyno to get tuned who now went together with TPG Tuning, they talked me into going all drag and I did drag the car a few times before but just for fun. Now time to focus on drag racing and I am pumped to be working with the guys at TPG for the 2013 season

August 2012:
Well we had some issues this summer with the atp gtx3076 so Jason at Tpg told me to get an evo9 turbo, so I did and we sent it to Curt Brown to get ported and then we put it on a few weeks before the shootout.
heres a video of it on the dyno...It made 371hp and 345torque with a forward facing intake just for the shootout

Shootout Time 2012:
I only could make it Sunday, since I work mon-sat, got to the track around 815 and got the car unloaded. I ran B1 since I really never did that much drag racing before and just wanted to see what I could do.

RPF1s had the slicks on them, werent the best since they werent for drag but did better than street tires
My first run was my best run lol and my gf didnt get it on film
oh well. I ran 11.6 at 118.

My car at TPGs tent
The shootout was a blast! I learned a lot and cant wait to run next year, so after I got back to Erie it was time to go all out with it.

My headgasket popped on my way home to Philly from Indiana and it happened to be right by JSDyno and 300 miles from my house so I had him do a head gasket. Did they move now?
Yeah Jason and Nate came together and moved into a new shop about 2 months ago, the shop is in Blairsville, Pa

Awesome build bro. Stay away from H beams if you really want to make some serious safely. I learned my lesson with 300 miles on a brand new build engine when a H beam failed on me at around 600whp during the tune. Im on a fpblack and its really tourqy when boost comes and and i think thats what broke the rod and pur 3 holes in my block
AND here it is! Nice to see you made a build thread. Glad I could be apart of your build!
As far as the clutch goes I would suggest the Quartermaster race version over the Exedy. There have been several cases of the clip popping off and ruining your day. Qm uses the hydraulic tob so you won't have that problem. Plus they have been proven to handle low 9 and 8sec passes. Best of luck anxious to see more!
