UPDATE FROM IFO COLUMBUS

Well we went to IFO last weekend, we were just trying to get a 160mph pass out of the car and a low 9 pass(car has a bad trans in it).

We got to the track and I took my car to tech. The guy was looking it all over up down inside and out, I havent been to a track that looks the car over so much.

He goes well I hope you arent going anything fast than 11.50s since you dont have a roll bar or cage or anything. He goes whats it run...what the hell I just drove 4.5hrs to get kicked out before I run, so I said 11s...anyways I was pissed cause I had a feeling I was going to get one pass and that would be it.

So heres a video of my first pass, I was going up against Joels 1,300hp supra that runs mid to low 8s..I was just trying to get a good pass in.



So I go 9.88@151 first pass I go to get my slip and the guy didnt say anything, I was waiting for him to say pack it up but he didnt, so I ran the rest of the day.

Next I ran a srt4 and went 10.1@151, so first round I had to go up against Buschurs 1g for the first round. Which I know he was going to get me off the line, but my car was running good besides the messed up trans. He got me off the line, but I ended up going by him and runing 9.6@146 and blew the lower intercooler pipe off before the 1/4. Buschurs 1g also blew a intercooler pipe off.

Next up was Aaron Gregorys badass auto 1g that was running low 9s and high 8s all day. We got to the line and I put her on twostep and bogged the launch and that was that lol, car still went 10.4@153 so the finals was Joels supra and aarons 1g and I ended up in 3rd.



After IFO I decided to call it a year, my trans is done and I dont want to run it at MIR for WCF if its not 100% So time to take it apart and change a few things and get ready for next year!



Here is the final race between the supra and 1g..its one of the best races I have seen all year!

 

Car looked good man. When are you going to put a cage in it?

It seems like you're shifting into 2nd a little early... you can hear it loose almost all boost in the 1-2 shift.

 

Thanks man! I am going to do a cage and chute over winter, yeah I have to short shift so it will go into 2nd my trans is messed up, that will be getting sent out soon to see whats wrong.

Nice passes that car looks fun to dirv. What class were you guys running cause I run FI street and I know it reqs full interior, exhaust and street tires. I dont ever get asked about a cage in this class. Hoping to dip into the 9s this years full weight and a 3756ft elevation.

Thanks I figured you ran FIP. Im going to step up with the big dogs next year hopefully I have alot of weight that needs sheding between now and then.

 

You should do it, there was only 6 cars in the class in Columbus but there was more at the IFO in Pittsburgh..My car also needs to shed some pounds before I cage it

haha no it has a curt brown head with gsc s2 cams 1200cc/wally 255 full exhaust megan exhaust manifold/ buschur fmic/Perrin intake, it made 342hp on tpg mustang dyno on pump gas so I think that's good for a daily lol. If it needs something than I will upgrade it
