Car stalling? Try the EIDS it works !!!
Like the title says, I have the EIDS Type-K from HKS on my car. I was having many problems with stalling. Hit the gas the car dies, shift hard and the car tries to stall. Now I am running my Type-S venting to air ,and I have no problems with stalling at all
It relly works, I was getting fed up with the stalling so I installed it . I was redy to try anything. It is very much worth the 130 bucks.
Installation is very very simple.
Red wire connects to pin 25 on the ecu for switched power.
Black wire I connected to a bolt above the glove box .
Orange wire is pin 84 - Throttle Position Sensor Signal
White wire is pin 90 Volume Air Flow Sensor Signal
Yellow wire is pin 90 Volume Air Flow Sensor Signal
(you will have to cut the ecu wire [pin 90] in half , the line going to the ecu is where the white wire will connect. And the yellow will go to the other line of pin 90.)
If you are running a S-afc or E-manage , well any sort of fuel control. This unit will be the last leg in of the setup. I currently have the adjustment screw on the unit at halfway.
And these are some of my mods .
ATP 3071R Garrett Turbo
272 HKS intake camshaft
272 HKS exhaust camshaft
RMR catback
Helix Cat Delete
ATP Downpipe
Borla Equal Length Headers
Findanza Adjustable Cam gears
Arp Headstuds
HKS RS Intake
HKS Turbo Timer Type-1
HKS Grounding kit
Samco Intercooler hosing
Samco Radiator hosing
PWR intercooler
660 RP injectors
Buschur Upper Intercooler Piping
Greddy Type-S BOV
Denso Iridium Spark Plug (CR8)
Buschur Mini Battery
Greddy Oil Catch Can
Kartboy Exhaust Hangers
Greddy Oil Filter Relocation Kit
Walbro 255 LPH Fuel Pump
S-AFC II
Greddy Profec Spec-B
ATS Twin Disk (carbon)
But like I said it works, if you have any question feel free to PM me.

Here's an even easier solution......just vent it back to the intake......I did the same thing as you guys venting to atmosphere but coming to a stop the car would always stall (but hey we all like the loud sound when shifting) right.....well after awhile the wife would not ride in the car anymore due to the stalling an embarrasment...so I had no choice but to recirculate the greddy type-s....and you know what it is almost as loud as it was when venting....my friends over here could barely tell the difference...so just letting you guys know even when it's recirculated it still makes a loud a$$ noise and you car runs much happier !!!! I hope this helped at least one of you so you don't go wastin' money....but hey I'm a firm believer of to each his own !! Have fun and keep moddin'

So the main function of the EIDS is to prevent stalling? I have the turbo XS RFL and the car doesn't stall but this bov doesn't seem to like partial throttle it flutters. If I go WOT it's fine. I was dynoflash with the VTA BOV so if I route it back to the MAS the car doesn't seem to be slower.
Quickshift,
i am planning to purchase an EIDS and i currently have a A/F controller (Blitz R-Fit) installed and configured; hence i would like a confirmation from you when you mention "last leg", do you mean stock ECU > A/F Controller > EIDS?

The post https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=142042 has the yellow wire going to the ecu end while you have the white wire going to the ecu. Does it make a difference?
My HKS EIDS install is giving me trouble. The initial startup with VTA setup has the car idling very low on a cold start. I have it installed with yellow going into ECU on pin 90. I also have a SAFC installed.
