Kartboy bushings...shifter base and linkage...Help

Well my Kartboy bushings just came today, but no paperwork or nothing with them. I ordered both the base and linkage bushings, but which are which?? It came with 2 bags. both bags have 4 bushings in them. 1 bag has 4 small bushings that are all the same size, and the other base have 4 bushings as well but 2 big bushings and 2 smaller bushings in it. Which are which. I have no intstructions, no papers, no nothings...just 2 bags with 4 bushings each. HELP.

I have the underhood ones and they should be the 2 big and 2 small. I believe the big ones are for reverse and the small are for the forward gears IIRC. There is a very detailed write up in the Installation forum for the underhood bushings. Make sure you have a good grip in the pins when you pull them out. I lost one and never found it.

you should have 8 smaller ones that are exactly the same. These are for the shifter base. One under the shifter base and one on top of the base, for each of the four locations. For easier installation you will want to disconnect the lower left shift cable so you can get to the front driver side easier.
For under the hood you should have two bushings left and it will be obvious which one goes where. One is much bigger than the other.
BTW under the hood ones are for left to right and the other is for up and down. Not foward and reverse.

here are both bags together, and then individually.

93civEJ1, I think that MYEVO8U has the metal shifter base bushings from lancershop like I do. Lancershop includes 8 metal bushings, really only 4 are required. You just need 1 underneath each of the 4 corners of the shifter base. I believe that Kartboy only provides you four so your ok there. As for the under hood bushings I have not installed any yet, my Kartboys should be here this week, I have looked at the stock bushing set up and it looked fairly self explanitory, I think if you still have the stock battery in place then you may have to remove it.

ok...got my car apart...but any ideas on how to get the smaller edge of Kartboy's base bushings pressed into the hole of the base??? The holes for the old bushings were alittle bit too little compated to the small edge of the kartboy bushings. Also, do we need to try to reuse the metal sleeves from the old bushings?? Thanks

You shouldnt have to reuse the metal sleeves of the old bushings, but I have the metal ones, not the KB ones.

you gotta get some sandpaper and sand the holes a little bigger to get it to fit. after you do that, put the bushings in

93civEJ1 I would ask Kartboy himself what he suggests before sanding.
