Haha, but I did'nt see too many fat chicks in Atlanta. Just a lot of southern blond bells A lot of hot chicks down there!

I do miss Hotlanta at times, nice warm hot sun with comfy southern charm...

this sounds like something a person in atlanta who never goes on roadtrips would say.

I wouldn't even effin DRIVE in atlanta. that place is completely insane.

anyway-- I used my rostra cruise during a 700 mile round trip to dallas and back this weekend. it sucks compared to any OE unit I've ever had. often hunts if you're not on perfectly flat ground when you set or resume. climbs hills OK but not great once you're set/resumed on level ground though. the brain is retarded and has no idea how to control an Evo. (it is electronic, not vacuum with a restrictor pill.)

____

answering sentinel's question before this gets too long. I don't race my Evo but I didn't care that much about comfort, I would've bought a Legacy GT for that. I put a big *** stereo in it just like you did. came in handy on the aforementioned car trip, also. when you have a 1kW stereo, the engine/exhaust/tire noise doesn't matter so much.

Nah, it's full weight (4000 lbs with gas and as$) and has about 230 rwhp. It handles better than a Mustang but nothing like the EVO. BTW EVO luxo-cruiser was a joke.

Oh wait. Hey! That was a long time ago, and it was under desperate conditions, okay? Don't judge unless you've been there!!!

You have to remember though that the Evo VIII came out about a year before the RS. So saying that someone bought the EVO instead of the RS because of some certain features is not valid. There was no choice. Not to mention the fact that the RS has no wing, an Evo trademark. I would hardly call the wing a luxury item.

Even though the EVO has racing heritage, the EVO VIII is nevertheless classifed as a passenger car, and therefore it is not too much for people to ask for specific comfort features for something they are paying for

I dunno if you have ever rode in any JDM EVOs... while I was visiting Asia over the summer, my cousin let me drove his JDM EVO VII... it was all stock, and let me tell you, the suspension feels a lot different than the USDM EVOs. Also, as all of you already know, all the JDM EVOs have the better HVAC control... and indeed they were a lot nicer than our mechanical units

People are complaining not because they think the evo should have more comfort features... they are complaining because the USDM EVO are inferior to the JDM ones... and even if money is not a concern, they will never be able to own a left hand drive EVO that has the same specs as the JDM vehicles

Since u drive a "tarmac evo" and you "bought your Evo with the intention of driving fast cornering hard and putting honda's to shame on the track", u still went with an evo VIII as opposed to an RS... so you are admitting that there are certain comfort features in your EVO in which you do appreciate

yea, that's rediculous. If people are *****ing about lack of cruise control, or climate control, or ride quality, how come they didnt' think of this **** when they test drove it?! Either way, they should have realized what they got themselves into, and they obviously aren't enthusiasts.

I was looking through a bunch of threads and I keep coming accross threads where people are whining about "oh my Evo doesn't have criuse" or "how can I get climate control" and even "why is my Evo ride so bumpy"

I for one and sick of hearing about people whining about features that have nothing to do with a race car /rant

Anyway just wanted to know how many of you got your Evo for speed and how many of you bought it to be comfortable in

Disclaimer: I'm not talking about street racing and/or breaking laws just fun driving
an evo is made for speed...comfort level is of minimum importance...anyone who buy an evo and complain abt how harsh the ride is simply bought the wrong car...i bought an evo for its performance, mods potential and sharp handling...

You should have added a third poll option:

- To put the smack down at the track

I bought mine primarily for the handling ... but I do mostly use it to cruize the freeways to and from work

I bought mine for comfort...
The comfort of knowing I can outperform almost anything I run into.
