Que Pasa Boricua!

If it's a close choice between an STI & an EVO the determing factor for his needs may be the cruise.

que pasa como estas

ok lets say your cruise stops working, and "by law" no one can sell aftermarket ones for safety reasons. Would you sell your Evo?

For what it's worth, every car I've ever owned has had cruise... except the evo...

I never used it in those cars... don't need it in this one. When I have the cruise on, I feel like I am paying less attention to the road and more attention to other things. So, I don't use it.

If luxury is important to you by all means get the 250z, S4 or the M3 even the STi has a few luxuries the Evo does. not.
Do us all a favor and stop posting. Like Subaru has no rally heritage? And ride on the 05 STi's isn't bumpy? Please get your facts straight ......

I think the bigger question is, suppose something on your car breaks, will Mitsu void your warrenty because of an aftermarket Cruise Control? With the way things I are going I'm leaning more to "yes" than "no" .....

Mines was installed by my dealer as a "CONDITION OR PURCHASE" so it's a dealer installed option that cant void the warranty.

Badevo, what they hit u up for for the cruise? Is it on the stalk or is it mounted elsewhere. A pic be nice if u have one.

Thanks.

Also to the guy who drifts off while driving, u shouldn't be driving that tired. I've always had cruise and once did a 36 hour Straight drive from Killington Vermont to West Palm Beach FLA and I didn't drift off. If u get sleepy on an 8 hour drive u may need more then just a pedal to let off when u fall asleep. I'd rather have a Drunk Driver on the Road then one falling asleep at the wheel. Just a thought.

It was free, they paid for it. I drove up to the Mitsu in an STI that I was gonna buy instead of the EVO. They bent over backward to get my sale then.

The cruise is a stalk mount, I'll take some pics no sweat.

No idea on the 05 pricing, there are a few threads out there that have better info then I could give you. My car had a 30,975 dollar sticker with a 3K dealer mark up. I paid 29K out the door.

As far as the cruise goes, yeah just like a factory one. With the factroy BOV it worked 100% perfect, with my VTA it freaks out on acceleration every once in a while but not a big deal, I just turn it off then back on again.

The lack of cruise is a major oversight and one so easily remedied, yet two years later and they haven't let 2 engineers loose on it for a week. Mitsu has to have a cruise control stalk in its parts bin somewhere. THey have the control motors from the eclipse, and I'm sure can figure out how to tie it into the ecu.. sheesh.

AS for those talking about how the evo is a *Performance* *only* car, that's funny. it's a performance car only but most who whine it doesn't need cruise don't even run their cars at circuits. Those of us who do run at circuits, understand the need for cruise on the drive to and from the track.

It would be nice to have it yes,,,but to me it is so insignificant that it wont stop me from buying the car i like. If we were talking about not having AWD or power windows, ac....etc well ok I wouldnt buy it.
The only two "rally" cars (4drs) right now on the streets are the evo and the sti and you are looking to buy one or the other cause you like both, how about if the subaru didnt have cruise? Would you look somewhere else?
