Customizations that don't jeopardise warranty
Im not 100% sure but i think you can mod your car as long as it isn't internal modification such as cams, pistons, etc. I don't think bolt on modification can void warrenty under some law. I think its "Magnus law" not sure gotta check on that. Pretty sure if their is something wrong with car they must prove that the modification is the cause of the breakdown.
But you them grimey dealers they'll make some kind excuse to void the warrenty. I am soon to be an EVO owner, currently driving RSX-S w/ IHE went in couple of times for warrenty with no problems. But then again is Acura warrenty vs.
warrenty.

Hey, I said tint in the first post
Also, I think legally, and morally as well, it's wrong for the dealer to void the warranty based on things that are not proven. For dealers, we're guilty until proven innocent. Yet they do it anyway, and it's not easy going through a warranty dispute.
Here's another one I think should work: vortex generator
I think we should petition Mitsubishi for clear guidelines on modifications and customizations that will void the warranty. Reading the owner's manual supplement leaves it pretty unclear.

I talked to my dealer when I bought my evo. I bought it used, and the previous owner had changed the clutch to an ACT unit. I told the dealer, and took the car to the dealership to have it inspected before I bought it, and they didn't have any problem with the clutch(there was also a SS clutch line installed). They said it was because the clutch was never covered under the warranty anyway.
Also, someone above was talking about the Magnuson-Moss Act (not sure on the spelling) that stipulates a certain part of a warranty cannot be voided for mods done to other parts of the car (i.e. if you install some new supsension, and then your turbo goes out on you, the dealer could not refuse coverage on the turbo because there is no reasonable way the suspension could cause the turbo to go out in the first place).
