I spoke with the guys at Speed Ventures and it looks like the track does charge a $10 entry fee on weekends. Since we're a Sat/Sun event, that would includes us... DOH! Still, that's not much money to see some of the top tuners up close, get rides, etc.

Just save $2 / week and you'll cover the fee for both days!

I was wondering about that. I've never been to Willow Springs without paying a $10 gate fee. It'll be worth it, though.

Great, looks like the track entry fee has been noted in the first post too. Definitely worth it, just wanted to make sure the correct information was available for spectators.

We're gonna try and get a good number of raffle items to give out to those who attend. That way you get a really super bang for you buck As soon as I confirm things I'll post specifics (what products, etc), but we should expect to have products being raffled off as well as some top companies with booths on location.

Raffles seem to be a good way to increase attendance in California. SoCalEvo and SCLC can tell you that!

For the Shootout,
What are we looking at as far as Safety Equipment, Fire Ex. helmets suits?

Or will there be gear there for use or rent?

usually, you just have to have the same gear as the open sessions. An approved helmet and the car passes tech. But I'm not sure, Mark should comment soon to verify.

Thanks for putting me on the signup list. I'm marking it on my calendar.

for anyone who doesn't know how the sigup sheet works, you just copy (ctrl + C) the list from the most recent post, paste (ctrl + V) it to a reply, and add your name. I just did it for Temjins.

Just updating the thread with the Shootout rules:

1. Must have an Evo chassis.
2. Must have a $g63 engine.
3. Must use street legal / R-comound tires. Full slicks are not allowed.
