hey

just installed hks cams and gears...i have somewhat of an idea, of how to adjust the cam gears, but i wanna make sure that i'm on the same page...can anyone explain to me..how the adjustment works...looks like each mark is 2deg..

if i wanna retard it -4 that means i have to rotate the inside of the cam gears(purple part) towards the front of the engine 2 marks..? i just dont understand y theres marking on the top of the gears(the outside circle blue part of the gear)...please let me know thanks...

The mark on the blue part lined up with the big white line in the middle is 0* of timing and each little line after that is 2*

If you turn the isnide part so that the line on the outside (the blue part) goes toward the "R" you will retard the timing and if you turn it toward the "A" you will advance the timing.

 

theres 20 mark on the blue part for the hks gears, and alot on the purple part....each mark is 2*...i stilll dont understand...can u see if u can exlpain it a little more...?
