Someone make a write up on how to sand the sides of the wing and have the "naked" wing! Nothing but CF!. Theres a thread on this but no specific directions. I'm sure most of us would want this!

If you sand it, you'll loose the clearcoat on it. Just wax it with connelly wax (sp?). That'll take the paint out.

You could always sand it, but there is a big chance you'll sand the CF through on some parts to the plastic inside.

You could use goo gone or if bold use some brake fluids to get the paint off.

of course mask everything.

I've seen the full CF wings and frankly, I like it with the paint.

wow that would look so good with my CF trunk... I'm affraid of messing it up though

 

well i just stripped the paint off mine and realized there is no carbon fiber underneath...

 

did u have oem and what year spoiler did u have
it will be a gray primer underneath the paint remove that and u will hit the carbon fiber

 

i heard the new wings aren't full carbon fiber anymore!?!?!?!

 

i've hit carbon fiber! i went to home depot and rented a palm sander... it's really taking me forever on this project... but i guess patience is the key... cause it's well worth it!
