im looking for the how-to on making my wing all carbon fiber...

not sure where the write up is, but i think a couple of ended up getting it done
by a professional shop. you might want to go that route, from what i remember
its a long and difficult process.

 

how much does that cost usually?

 

i really have no idea as to what it would cost. you should probably just go to a local
paint shop you can trust and get a quote.

there are also other companies that make them. Just takes a little bit to find em.

oh...i dont see why spending all that time and labor and risking messing up. I would just buy one, to me its a lot easier. But i know there's all those freaks that love to play around with that stuff, so i guess someone show him the thread. lol

 

Some of the earlier 8's have an All-Carbon Fiber wing. I have a 9 that has only the Wing section as truely 100% carbon fiber. I recently bought an older 8 wing that is in-fact 100% all-carbon fiber and am in the process of sanding off the paint ot reveal the carbon fiber weave. I will then have it clear coated to prevent the yelloing that was mentioned. Yes it is an intensive process, but to me it is well worht it. I'm looking forward to my Red Mr sporting an All carbon Fiber rear wing, I think it will look tight.
