Just bought my Evo today in So. Cal. Apex silver with a factory rear wing--not the carbon fiber wing--It is similar to the regular Lancer wing; but a little larger. I like the optional $480 Carbon fiber wing; but I wanted something a little more subtle. Has anyone else seen this new rear wing? It comes standard on the car.

 

ive seen it.. with the little 'stem' right in the middle

i feel the cb wing fits the evo better, but a low wing is better than no wing (looks wise, imo at least)

 

That must be the same wing that I see on OZ rallys.. It's just a tad bigger than normal.. Makes the car look like it's trying too hard IMO....

 

The "big" wing is, I think what sets the Evolution apart from all the other vehicles on the road. A lot of people think it is UGLY or it's too TALL. I have one on my Lancer, and I love it to death~

 

They should be starting to put the new ralliart Lancer wing on the evo's with the low wing...looks slightly different than the OZ.

 

yah, id love to see what yall are talking about. the mitsu dealer next to my house only has EVOs with the big wing...

AACCKK!! Well, it's fit is very nice, and clean, but I don't like it much. JMO.

 

an evo 7 that wing look kinda wierd..im not used to seeing such a conservative look on the evo...

That's the A05 order option. It substitutes the Lancer OZ small wing in place of the large CF one. Only 5% of the initial year's production will be optioned this way. I wondered when they would show up.

Only issue with swapping it with the CF wing is that it will require drilling the trunk lid for the center upright. 2004 Ralliart Lancer spoiler has no center upright and will be a direct swap.

I think the big wing is what makes the Evolution. I look at it with the low wing with a quick glance, might look liek a Lancer.
