that clear silicone will be fine...

and i used flat black when i painted my headlights, it turned out great

to sand or not too sand....so ur sayin if I use black primer I dont have to sand, but if I use gray then I should sand? I dont want like bubbles under my paint as evodave mentioned.

if I do sand I guess I need some 600 instead of 400

I like the oven method. It's better than using dremel like in that video to pry the headlight open.

That's how we used to do with prelude headlights.

if you have a diamond dremel bit, you can dremel it off without causing heat and shaving only a bit of the plastic off.

OH hell no.. dont dremel the headlights. Thats for the tail lights only as they are sealed in 2 different ways.

Hot glue gun works for headlight correct? Im a little spectical about putting it in the oven

if not the oven, heat gun. The adhesive they use on the headlights is heat sensetive.

ok so a heat gun, so how long again do i need to have the head lights in the oven if i do it that way. i just want to do it this weekend.

no need to sand, just primer and paint...

I have done a few evo headlights already...

oven takes too long and has potential for problems... get a friend, heat gun, screw driver, heat the seals, pry apart... primer, paint, reseal with the existing glue... best chance for good seal...

thanks man, but reuse the existing glue how? I don't mean to sound like a dumb A$$ but i fon't want to mess up.
