how to remove storage bin below HVAC??

Just curious how you remove the storage bin below the HVAC controls. Is it necessary to remove the face plate over HVAC, or just remove the 2 screws at the top of the bin and pull straight out? thanks. i'm going to install a defi link controller in there and want to remove it 1st so i can run the wires, and make an opening for the plug that goes into the back of the unit.

That's exactly where I put mine. You need to drill quite a large hole in the back side of the storage bin, to fit through all the various wires and connectors for all the sensors and stuff. Just make it larger than needed, then fill it up with RTV silicon to seal it off if needed.
