Evo Factory Subwoofer

I'm planning on adding the factory subwoofer to my Evo, the same option that comes with the sun&sound package for the Evo. Anybody tried this? What other stuff that i need besides the subwoofer box? do i need an amp? Thanks for the input.

Yes you will need an amp... why would you want to add an OEM sub to your car your much better off getting a good aftermarket sub you will need a box the amp power wire from your battery to the amp then from the amp to the sub then back to the amp then to ground to the chassis of your car. You will also need a fuse in the line before your amp.

not to hard.....the easiest way is to tap off the rear speakers for your audio feed......then you just have to run power wires

Thanks for the input guys! The reason why i like the OEM subs for the Evo is the fit and finish, i don't have to look for a box or fit a sub box and it does not eat so much space in the trunk, anyways i'll think about the aftermarket subs too.

Same for me, I don't want to have a big box in my trunk.
But true, go aftermarket.
