I lowered the gain, but nothing happens
When accelerating I can hear the turbo building boost and it goes up till 19-to-20psi (my settings, I think), and then suddently it goes down to like 9-to-10 psi, and I can't hear the turbo spooling no more, just the rev. are going up as the boost goes down.

my settings are consistent. boost is 65%, set 5%, gain 3%, limit is 22 psi. this makes the limiter go off but you hit 21.7 peak and hold around 21 psi

I run 51% boost, setgain 15.5psi , gain 10% , warning 21.5 , cut 4% this gives consistent 20psi - 20.5psi boost in 75 degree weather... On a Stock Evo with only intake and the Greddy

do you have it hooked up right? where did you tap into your system to read the boost?

and are you sure you are on PSI not KpA ?

sorry for all the Q's just trying to help you out

o yea, you have to switch the hi and low button back in forth each time you turn on your car so the settings are consistent. If only this was written in the manual it would have saved me a lot of headaches.

yeah... that's a good safety feature that it requires interaction, but a pain... especially since I couldn't figure out what the hell was wrong with it for like a month

You may be hitting the limiter. With your settings, if you are boosting to 19 or 20 psi, you are exceeding your limit which lowers your SET value. Try raising your limit value to 20 psi and see if it still drops.

Make sure that your Greddy is not hooked up the old DSM way (IE on the wrong vacuum lines or even hooked up backwards). My Greddy didn't work right until we changed what lines they were hooked up too. Check all of your IC hoses to make sure they are properly clamped (those thatched hoses may have bulged to a pt that they leak boost?).
I'll post my high and low settings when I get home tonight.

Thanks a lot for the replies guys... I really appreciate them...

Now, lets try to answer all your Q's...

First, the cap is removed, the hoses are conected to the "com" and "no" possitions, the "nc" position es open...
I'm reading in PSI, no kpa...
My lo set never changes to hi, I set it in lo and stay in lo, if I set it in hi it stays in hi... ... maybe your power (+) is not set right..!!

I'm starting to realize that my limit might be setted wrong and that's why my boost is suddenly dropping.
Today I noticed that the hose that goes to the "no" possition was a little bit loose, I re-tight it and put a new clamp to it.

Also, I performed the boost leak test and everything is OK... I was funny, almost halirious cause I didn't fully tight the end cap and when I pressurized the system it poped out... man it sounded like a gun shot. it was scary at first but after that me and my friend could stop laughing...

Well, tomorrow I will try the new settings, and let you know my results.
BTW, I'm waiting some more settings.

Thanks,

Miguel

I think you missed bluebanana's point... if you DONT change it from (lo to hi to lo) or vice versa - again each time you start it, the system will default and cap off your settings. the book doesnt say this anywhere, but you have to do it each time to "activate" the greddy. so press the button each time and see if you dont get better results

Boricua... listen to what DfWeVo is saying. He's not saying switch it from hi to lo and leave it there. He's saying if you are on hi (for example), YOU HAVE TO INTERACT WITH THE UNIT EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU TURN YOUR CAR ON, and the easiest way is to switch it from hi to lo, and then back to hi! Please tell me you understand? If you don't do this (or some form of interaction EVERY TIME YOU START THE CAR) the unit will default to "safe" mode and cut your boost when you try to gun it. IT'S A SAFETY FEATURE. The reason to do this is NOT changing it from hi to lo to change your settings, YOU SIMPLY HAVE TO PUSH BUTTONS to let the Profec unit know that you are aware of the settings and it's a SAFETY FEATURE so that if you accidentally turn the switch, you don't accidentally over boost and F-up your car. IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR SETTINGS... The settings you have are probably just fine... the issue is you need to interact with the unit every time you restart the car.

If you need an analogy, compare it to SIGNING INTO YOUR COMPUTER EACH TIME YOU RESTART. It's basically the same thing.

Holy crap...!! don't tell me that my boost cotroller was fine all the time..!! I never knew this, and didn't realize it, nor was clear on what DfWeVo was saying...
This is one crap of a safety feature..!! I never had to do that to my original Profec B... I think I will be changing it to the original profec B...

Thanks a lot guys...

Cool... I hope that fixes whatever issue you had... That feature pissed me off for the longest time until someone explained to me what it was doing. I'm glad you understood what I was talking about, it's kind of hard to explain online

Could be me, or the BC selenoid is busted..
