What is considered a good deal on the type II bar?

I am trying to decide whether the added stiffness is worth the cost.

I know there is some weight reduction as well but I am more concerned with rigidity.

That's the price I'm seeing from everyone.

I just ordered the perrin rsb & endlinks. Maybe I'll give that a try before I dick with additional bars and such.

I just wish someone would confirm they do indeed make a nice difference.

Question

Attempted to install this bar today, but no luck. The car is an '03 perhaps the front bolts for the control arms are on there pretty tight, they would not budge even an impact driver. I prefer doing my own work, but this is one I may have to take the car in to a garage with a lift and more working room for leverage to break the bolts loose. If it makes any difference I'm trying to do this with the car jacked up with the wheels suspended. Anyone got any ideas? Am I missing a proceedure like lifting the tranny a bit? This was in the service manual for removing the control arm, but I'm not really removing it. I think I may try this and see....

Sounds like you have a low budget impact gun!

Let us know if you notice any difference with the bar. I'm curious if its worth the rather large some of cash for a fricken bar.

Yep, it's an electric one rated at 240lbs. Bolts are probably seized on there pretty good. Need a powerful air impact wrench to crack it loose.
