How to change Rear Differential Fluid

I found the t-case and tranny how-to, I just need to find a rear differential fluid how-to with pics.

1. Remove the filler plug.

2. Remove the drain plug and drain out the oil.

3. Replace the packing for drain plug and tighten the drain plug
to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 64 ± 4 N⋅m (47 ± 3 ft-lb)

4. Refill engine oil via the filler hole.
• Specified gear oil: Hypoid gear oil MITSUBISHI
Genuine Gear Oil Part No. 8149630 EX or equiva-
lent
• Quantity: 0.55 dm3 (0.58 quart

wow that was fast. Actually that picture was exactly what I needed...just wanted to make sure where the fill and drain plugs were...pretty straight forward just like changing any other fluid. Thanks!!!!

so you basically fill with a funnel and a hose or a hand pump right just like the method used in Tranny and T-case?

Yep.. it's the easiest to change out of the tranny/transfer/diff. A funnel and hose should do just fine.

I usually take mine around the block then come back and check the fluid. I guess if you have the rear of the car in the air you could probably just turn the wheel a few times to get all the fluid to "settle".
