Wow this thread died years ago with not response...such a shame...
I was looking for this information as well. Most people answer this questions with
step 1: remove old turbo
step 2: install new turbo
Im assuming you remove the heat sheild exposing four bolts or somthing and you can unbolt it from the manifold, as well as removing the down pipe, and waterlines and oil lines. Do I need to drain all oil and coolant? (Im assuming yes)
What about "priming" the turbo?
Any help would be ncie
Thanks guys!

-Use PB blast on the exhaust manifold bolts( heat sheild does not need to be takin off)
-Disconnect downpipe
-Disconnect lower intercooler pipe from turbo
-Disconnect intake
-If bigger than gt28 turbo is going in, removal of the radiator makes life so much easier
----if so. Drain your radiator from plactic bolt on the lower driver side and or remove lower hose and upper hoes, remove bracets holding the radiator on top. radiator comes right off
-Disconnect lines coming from turbo to engine( coolant/oil)
-Disconnect the bolts from the maifold
- use some elbow greese and get the mainfold off, thats all that hold the turbo in place besides the down pipe-pull it out from on top..
Thats should do it- TAKE YOUR TIME patience is needed for this, make sure you have extra lines for the oil ect.., its pretty much, a one man job taking it off-
To install, make sure all lines are on the new turbo already, replace from the top, replace down pipe, lower intercooler, and intake, make sure all lines are tight . Put back radiator, fill coolant on top.
Correct me if i missed anything, just going from my memory of the ETS gt30 install.
