Anyone know of a detailed install or of any tips for the install? I'm swapping trunk lids. Thanks

 

OK, I can take a hint.

 

dood easy ...

1)open the trunk

2)find a buddy

3) have a drink together... he is a nice friend for helping do something so stupid!

4)disconect the cable that opens the trunk from inside the car, pull it out of the trunk lid.
5) if in your new trunk you have the trunk release mechanisms. , remove your old one and install it on your new trunk lid....
6)disconect the rod from the trunk key opener... unless you dont wanna have the same key! nut you can remove by pulling the green plastic at the end and twist it to the side.
7) with a niddle nose or a flat head screw driver find the back of the cylinder key, it has a push tap. use the flat head or niddle nose and pull it away from it..
8)now time to use your friend!
9) have him hold one side while you remove the two #12 bolts of the trunk base after doing so .. have your bud hold it go to the other side and remove the other two bolts and easy "EASY" take the runk of the car! .....
10) follow the steps back and install your new trunk!
and puuuyyyaaaa you done! enjoy!
