Angry Greddy Full Auto Timer help

This is for those that have the Greddy Full Auto Timer. Well so yes, recently i bought the Greddy Full Auto Timer, black one. Got the harness and made a perfect installation. Everything works... BUT the timer itself (making the engine run without the key). Biggest problem is that the instruction that came with it... yes its all in Japaniese, and i only understand numbers from there. I did get the english version from greddy website but im still not able to fix the problem. Here is what's happening.

I turn the key into the ACC position, so all the gauges light up, just before turning to start. When in that position, with the timer on, i turn the key and take it out, the time will work and make the countdown. REMEMBER I NEVER STARTED THE ENGINE.....
Now if i do the same, but turn the key to start the engine, and when engine is running i turn it off, the timer doesnt keep the engine working... it just turns off with everything.

I am getting really flustrated, i bought this so the car can cool down and i can be out of there doing what i have to do, and not sit for 2 minutes, which i dont really mind, but not always have available.

Please tell me how i can set this up so it works, cuz im really starting to loose my paitence. I tried following the instruction on changing the lines, but it doesnt seem to work, unless i do something not like it should be done.

Thank you.

there is a preset setting in the timer which calculates the time of the timer based on the rpm's of the engine. Perhaps you are in this setting and since you turn on your car for a few seconds with the rpms low, the timer thinks the oils is cold(which it probably is) and then shuts down the engine.

Try to go to another mode like the preset mode for time.

Just a guess hope this works out.

Go out, do a bunch of boosting and then go park in a parking lot almost immediatley afterwards and see if it works.

Are you tapped into the E-brake? Did you use a harness or hack in your self?

So did you get it figured out? It was something simple that you're embarrassed to post isn't it?

technically speaking i made a perfect professional like install. It just wont keep the car running once you start it. If you turn the key to ACC and the timer turns on... and you take the key out the timer will begin the countdown. Otherwise it wont... wtf is going on with it?

That sounds like a wiring problem. Most likely something at the plug near then starter switch. It's been so long since I put mine in I'm having a hard time remembering what goes where. Let me go refresh my memory and I'll see what else I can think of.

Where do you have the unit grounded?

I want to make sure I completly understand you here.

Acc=timer on, take key out timer counts down as it should.

Start=timer is on and counts down but, doesn't keep engine running or is it the timer turns off and doesn't even do the count?

What harness did you get?

Try connecting the purple to a good ground and see if the timer works properly. If it does you didn't have a good connection to the e-brake.
