I work at a body shop and all we do and all other shops, i imagine, to line up the trunk side to side and up and down is we get the gaps right between the trunk and body as close as we can adjusting the hinges. then adjust up and down we grab the trunk while it open and twist it one way or another until its level with the body.

So would you say that out of all the average priced CF trunks, the Seibon is the best fitting?

Seibons don't fit very well. if you take out the springs it will fit much better. springs will actually deform the trunk if you leave it under the hot sun for long period of the time.
