can you post a pic of your blacked out headlights without tons of sun shining on it. i dont see how anybody can really compare how good it looks with that 2nd picture. heh

quick question got em apart and painted, ready to put them back together
do i have to get all the old glue off? i have tried the head gun and oven it doesnt seem to want to come off

any suggestions? goo gone?

^^^sometimes its hard to take off, you might want to use something sharp if it doesnt but make sure not to damage anything. I would use new glue to re seal everything just to make sure there are no empty sports that need glue.

im gonna get it off the best i can then put on new glue, guess i was hopeing it would just peel off like old weatherstripping

that ets intercooler i got off you awhile back is still working great..thanks

glad to hear .. again make sure you check everything when you re seal the headlight, i just had a customers headlight go out because of constant moisture getting into his light. good luck

yea the rest was pretty easy, takin apart and painting, i know this is the critical part, im just gonna take my time

any suggestions on what sealant to use? just black silicone?

yea you should be ok with that dont over do it but make sure you used enough though

um that was me lol yea my light went out and now I have to drive with my high beams on or else I get a ticket

I've done quite a few over the years and i actually do not remove the old sealant and i don't use any new one either. I put it back together with the old sealant, i'll put it in the oven to soften it up and it's good to go.......never leaked, looks original, try it!

did you do this with the (painted black insert in or out) will the part that i painted peel off if i put it back in the oven?

225 at 6 minutes?
