I just took another look at the available pictures and is that a "C" clip? If so I feel pretty silly because I have removed a million of those things.

iirc, once i had the ring off from the assembly, i slid the ring all the way one side, and lifted it up at a angle through the little notch. it does come out with ease once u find the correct angle.

^make sure that white plastic ring is on tight, i re-used everything from the OEM pump, except the filter. very easy mod and not worth paying someone to do it. good luck!

it really is extremely simple.. If it takes you an hour, I'd be surprised.

I just changed my fuel pump 2 weeks ago, I can't blieve that my tuner place was going to charge me 2 hours worth of labor when I did it myself in 45 minutes, and I have no mechanical experience, just a regular guy with some tools.

Check out the Vivid racing website, they have a good write up with good pix for a fuel pump installation.

Just take your time and don't strip your nuts

The clip I am talking about is the one that holds the bag on the fuel pump. Whats the best way to get it off?

Thanks

Using needlenose pliers to grab the edge of the clip and slowly pulling up on opposing sides worked great to remove the filter (sock) retaining clip.
